I have been a die-hard music fan for as long as I can remember. In 2016, I embarked on a journey of musical discovery. In search of a genre that could resonate with me.
I fell down the YouTube rabbit hole and discovered my passion for electronic music thanks to my YouTube algorithm.
From that moment on, that was all I listened to. I discovered house music, its deeper side, techno, trance, afro house, afro tech, etc. For 4 years I listened blissfully, discovering music that I really loved, until I decided to try my hand at DJing. I started performing professionally in Burundi in the summer of 2020 at The Safari Gate Hotel rooftop (La Terrasse), where I regularly mixed.
From there, I started networking with electronic music event organisers in Bujumbura such as One Mind management, Kubaba events and we slowly created a growing microcosm of electronic music enthusiasts.
