As a pioneer of house music in Kampala Uganda, LITTLE BLACK KID has solidified his artistry among the underground heavyweights in Kampala electronic music lovers with trancey progressive and a slight touch of afro and tribalistic sound, consistently marketing his brand and raising eyebrows in Kampala especially the curious ravers in the underground scene.

He started his career as a visual artist with a small sound and visual collective called JUSTAHUB, which allowed him to seamlessly transition into DJing.

Through three years of live online mixes on his infamous monthly podcast on AFRIPODS, Soundcloud and Mixcloud, LITTLE BLACK KID managed to catch the attention of festival promoters representing BAYIMBA FESTIVAL, LAKESIDE FESTIVAL and BLUE MOON FESTIVAL.

His subsequent residency with SOULTRI3E has taken his career to new heights. With guest appearances at MUZE club and Mongoma records in Nairobi Kenya, AFRODISIAC and numerous pop-up parties in Kampala Uganda, he is truly a powerhouse in the electronic music scene.

A grandmaster of the electronic music scene in Uganda, Little Black Kid is a producer, disc jockey and sound engineer who has been making waves in the region. He is a key member of the SOUL TRI3E sound collective that has taken over the electronic music scene around Kampala.

He is a familiar face at the Bayimba International Festival of Arts, where he has been invited for two consecutive years.

Little Black Kid has a wide range of electronic elements that he incorporates into his sound. His Ugandan roots give him a deep understanding of drum rhythms, which is evident in his mixing technique.

Little Black Kid is known for leaving the crowd with a burning desire for more. He is currently running podcast sessions in collaboration with other artists in Kansangath through the Justahub Arts Collective. Episodes are released on both Afripod and Mixcloud under the pseudonym JustaSound.

His sensational ambient groovy sound has earned him a monthly slot on Bonjour Kampala, the capital’s African radio station.

Little Black Kid has also been working with a Scottish record label called Redstone Press, expanding his groundbreaking musical portfolio.
